Exclusive appointments for holders of Diplomatic and Service Passports and staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the African Union, the United Nations, Embassies and EU Delegations for all purposes and durations

On the following pages you can book an appointment to apply for a visa for holders of Diplomatic and Service Passports and staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the African Union, the United Nations, Embassies and EU Delegations regardless of the purpose and the duration of the trip; e.g.:

- accreditation in Germany

- state and delegation visits

- employment

- official trips

- private trips

To book an appointment you need:

- personal data (including passport number)

- a valid e-mail address, which will remain valid up to and including the date of the appointment and to which you have personal access

1. Please enter all data exactly as in the passport and in Latin letters.

2. You may book an appointment for one reason only.

3. Please make sure that you enter your e-mail address correctly, otherwise you will not receive an appointment confirmation! If necessary, check whether this can be found in your spam/junk folder.

4. Please note that Diplomatic and Service Passports issued by the African Union (AU) are only valid for AU member states. Appointment bookings and applications can only be made with a valid travel document recognized in Germany which in general is the national passport.

5. For applications for Schengen visas, please use the VIDEX application form in order to speed up the application process and to reduce your waiting time:

6. The processing time for Schengen visas is 14 calendar days for private and official trips; for Ethiopian applicants, the processing time is 45 calendar days. The processing time for applications for national visas and diplomats to be accredited in Germany is varying.
