Appointment system for applications for German passports and ID-cards, as well as change of residency in German passport.

We would ask you to bear with us, as demand for new travel documents has increased significantly. We are endeavouring to offer all applicants an appointment at the earliest opportunity, based on need where possible. But we also need your help with this. Specifically, we are asking anyone whose passport or ID card is still valid for several months to delay their application to a later date. The same is meant for people that have a valid passport and only would like to receive an ID card as addition.

You can find information on the necessary documents and application forms on our homepage. We can only accept your application for a passport or ID-card if the application form is completely filled out and all necessary documents are presented to us. Incomplete applications cannot be accepted. The application will be rejected free of charge, and a new appointment has to be scheduled.

Please check if name-related declarations such as name change after marriage, re-acceptance of maiden name and recognition of foreign divorce, name declaration for children has to be done before the application. If that is the case, you need to send all documents in advance to the Consulate General and you will receive an appointment only after that - you cann ot book it online. If you are not sure whether you need to make a name declaration, and for any further questions, please contact us by using the contact form.

Please pay attention to the following information:

- book one appointment per person, e.g. 3 children = 3 appointments    

- please prepare all documents and bring the filled-in application form with you to the appointment

- with one appointment you can apply for two documents for the same person (e.g. passport and ID card for one person = 1 appointment)

- each passport applicant must come to the Consulate in person (including children!)    

- come in time for the convenience of other customers

We open new appointments every Friday before noon. If you do not see any appointments, they are all booked.
