Welcome to the online appointment system of the German Embassy in Baghdad.

Here you can set your appointment for submitting your long-term visa application (minimum stay 90 days) for family reunion.

For any other kind of visa please book an appointment in the correct category.

Before booking your appointment with our online appointment system, you are kindly requested to read the information provided on our website www.irak.diplo.de concerning visa procedures and requirements.

On our website you can find detailed information regarding the necessary documentation as well as the application forms.

Please note that incomplete applications or applications filed by any person who is not eligible to apply for a visa in Baghdad according to our visa regulations, cannot be processed.

It is not allowed to book several appointments for one applicant. In order to book a second appointment you are required to wait at least 4 weeks as of the day of your last appointment . Please only book an appointment you know you can keep. In case you cannot present yourself at the German Embassy the day of your appointment, please cancel it.

In case you want to apply together with other persons please book one appointment for each person!

Our online appointment system is free of charge and it enables you to choose and book and appointment easily by yourself. The German Embassy does not sell appointments via other service providers and we highly recommend questioning any offer made by a third party to you in this regard.

It is not possible to book earlier appointments than the ones shown to you in the system. At the moment you can book appointments up to four weeks in advance. Please present yourself at time approx. 15 minutes before your chosen time slot at the entrance of the German Embassy and bring along your complete documentation and the e-mail confirmation of your appointment. In case you show up late, entrance to the German Embassy will be denied.

 Please enter all your personal data in our appointment system as shown in your passport (Latin script, no Arabic letters). Your have to put a valid e-mail address in order to receive the confirmation of your appointment by e-mail.

 To apply for a visa, you are requested to present yourself in person at the visa section of the German Embassy Baghdad. Representation by a third person is not possible.

Please double-check the e-mail address you enter in our online appointment system. You are required to present this e-mail at the entrance of the visa section and you need it in case you want to cancel your appointment. In case you enter an invalid e-mail address, you will be blocked two weeks before being able to book another appointment.
