This  section of the booking system is only for German citizens who want to apply for

- a German ID card

- change of address in a German ID card

or would like to

- activate the online function of the German ID card

- collect their new German ID card (outside of the regular collection times, for which no appointment is neccesary) 

 

Please note that it is not possible to book an appointment for the visa section through this booking page. Visa applications will not be processed. If you want to apply for a visa, please use the separate booking system VISA (press “Return” twice).

 

Dear Visitor,

here, you can book an appointment to apply for a German ID card. Please note that it is not possible to book an appointment for a German passport through this booking page. For German passport applications, please press "return" once and use the option "German Passports".

Before booking an appointment, please carefully read the information sheets on the Website of the Embassy, as incomplete applications can unfortunately not be accepted.

You need an appointment for each application. If you want to apply for a German passport and a German ID card, you need to book two appointments. Here only the one for the ID card. You also have to book an extra appointment for each person.

Should you not be able to make your appointment, please cancel it well in advance. This would help the Embassy in its abillity to offer appointments for others.

The email address required for the appointment booking must be valid ! You will receive a confirmation of your appointment by email. Please bring a printout of the confirmation email to your appointment.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment in our passport section.  Please note, that at times, there may be delays at the entrance of the consular section of the Embassy, due to security and health checks.
