National visa for a stay of more than 90 days

The following types of visa must be applied for digitally via the Consular Services Portal https://digital.diplo.de/visa: Professional Training / Language course for professional training preparation / Training search Studies / Language course for study preparation / College of studies / Study search Blue Card (EU) for highly qualified professionals Opportunity card for job search Employment for professionals with recognized university degrees Employment for professionals with recognized vocational training Employment for professionals with work experience Qualification analysis Placement agreement No appointment needs to be booked in advance. You apply directly in the Consular Services Portal. The embassy will pre-check your application. If all documents have been accepted, you can directly book a special appointment in the Consular Services Portal.

This visa has to be applied for e.g. 

• Language course (not for study preparation or professional training)
• Research
• Employment pursuant to Sections 3 to 29 of the Employment Ordinance for Foreign Nationals (BeschV)

This category does not include appointments for family reunification, au pair or voluntary service. If you require such an appointment, please book it in the correct category. You will not be granted access to the visa centre if you book an appointment in the wrong category!
