Dear Sir or Madam,

depending on the purpose of their stay, some applicants can submit their visa application online via the foreign affairs portal. You can check whether online application is possible in your case at the following link:

On the following page, you can register for the waiting list to make an appointment to apply for a visa for employment, voluntary service, au pair, internship, or specialty chef. After successful registration, you will receive a confirmation email for your booking.

The exact details of the appointment (date and time) will be sent to you in a separate email approximately 4 weeks before the appointment. Therefore, please ensure that the email address you provide is valid until the date of the appointment. 

As admission to the visa office is only possible if your name and passport details match exactly, please ensure that you enter your details correctly and without errors.

Please note that you can only apply at the German Consulate General in Dubai if you are a habitual resident of the United Arab Emirates.
As proof of habitual residence in the United Arab Emirates, you must present your Emirates ID or residence permit, which must be valid since at least 6 months.
