Applicants who previously had a residence permit in Germany can register here if the residence permit has been lost, expired, or if they have been outside the Federal Territory for more than 6 months. The issuance of a visa requires, among other things, that the right of residence is still valid.

If possible, please bring along a pre-approval from the German immigration authority (Ausländerbehörde)
