Welcome to the online appointment system of the German Embassy in Cairo!

 

Here, you can register for an appointment to apply for a visa for a marriage in Germany, for family reunion, or for family reunion with recognized refugees (BUT NOT with persons with subsidiary protection). The waiting time between registration for an appointment and the actual appointment day is currently 11-12 weeks. (January 2024)

Applicants for any other kind of visa that have nevertheless booked an appointment in this category will not be allowed to enter the Embassy and have to make a new appointment. Please note that the Embassy cannot accept incomplete applications.

Every applicant has to personally present herself/himself at the Embassy for the application process.

Please respect the following guidelines when entering your information:

• Every single applicant (even babies and children) requires her/his own appointment. It is also not allowed to book two appointments for one person!
•  Fill in your information by using "Latin" letters.
• A valid e-mail address is necessary to confirm your booking.
• The system only accepts one booking for every passport number. Fill in your complete passport number with capital letters and digits.

 

After successfully registering you will receive two e-mails:

1. a confirmation e-mail with a reference number within 30 minutes and
2. a separate e-mail with the exact date of your appointment as soon as the date has been determined. We are going to contact you automatically regarding a final appointment. We would expressly ask you to refrain from contacting us to inquire about the state of your appointment.

Please check for the confirmation e-mail with the reference number after registering. It may take up to 30 minutes until you receive confirmation (please also check your spam folder).
