IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING VISA APPOINTMENTS

The Consulate has changed the procedure for booking appointments for Schengen and long term visas. 

In future you will first register on a waiting list and in a second step your appointment will be allocated at a later date by the consulate in chronological order of registrations based

Please note: You do not need to use an agent to register on the waiting list! Registration on the waiting list is free of charge!

 

Dear Sir or Madam,

on the following pages you can register for an appointment to apply for a long-term visa for the purpose of research.

If you are planning a stay in Germany of more than 90 days and want to do research, this is the right category to register yourself on the waiting list for an appointment.

After your successful registration you will receive a confirmation about the completion of the registration process and afterwards two emails:

1. Within 30 minutes you will receive a confirmation email with your reference number and
2. Sometime later, you will receive a second email (appointment email) containing further details about the date and time of your allocated appointment.

Once you have registered for an appointment, please check your email inbox for the confirmation email, which will include a reference number. You should have received your confirmation email within 30 minutes. The German Consulate General in Karachi will then allocate a binding appointment as soon as possible and send you the details by email. This email will include two links, one to confirm the appointment and one to cancel it.

The intended category of study will be checked before you are allowed to enter the visa section. If the intended category of study does not match with the intended category of study you indicated in the registration, you will not be allowed to enter the visa section.

While entering your data, please note the following:

• All information must be entered in Latin letters.
• Please enter all your data correctly and without any mistakes, as you will only be admitted to the Visa Section if your name and passport number as entered in your passport exactly match the information provided in your registration.
• Your passport number must be entered in capital letters and numbers, as mentioned in your passport, e.g. KN5120391.

The Consulate General Karachi is exclusively responsible for applicants with habitual residence in Sindh and Balochistan. Applicants with habitual residence in other provinces or regions of Pakistan need to book their appointment using the booking system of the German Embassy in Islambad (https://service2.diplo.de/rktermin/extern/choose_realmList.do?locationCode=isla&request_locale=en).

Please make sure to enter your email-address correctly; otherwise you will receive neither a confirmation email nor an appointment! If the confirmation email is not in your inbox, please check whether it has been sent to your spam/junk folder.
