Please only book here if you would like to apply for a national visa to start a bachelor's programme, "Studienkolleg", "Aufnahmetest" or language course (not for study preparation) and have the relevant admission from the university ("letter of admission/invitation").

Unfortunately, we cannot process applications for which an appointment has been booked in the wrong category and you will have to make a new appointment. Please enter all the applicant's details in Latin letters according to the details in the passport. Please ensure that you enter all data completely and, above all, correctly. If you wish to apply for several people at the same time, you must make an individual appointment for each person.

The e-mail address must be valid, as the appointment confirmation will be sent to the e-mail address given at the time of booking. The booking confirmation must be printed out and brought to the appointment, otherwise the appointment cannot be kept. Please ensure that your e-mail address remains valid until the appointment is cancelled. For your own safety, do not use service providers and their e-mail addresses to book appointments.

If your allocated appointment is lost because an e-mail address that is not accessible to you (service provider, agency) was entered, the loss will be at your expense and you will have to re-register. It is not possible to correct details or change the e-mail address at a later date. In this case, you would have to cancel the existing booking and make a new booking. Please understand that no earlier appointments than those shown here can be arranged (not even by e-mail or phone call). To avoid unnecessary waiting times for you and other visitors, please arrive at the embassy 15 minutes before the start of the consultation time due to security checks.

It is not necessary to use an "agent"/ a "consultancy" to apply for a visa.
No "visa agent" can

- speed up the processing time.
- guarantee you a visa.
The German Embassy Kathmandu has no relationship with "visa agents". They neither work for the German Embassy nor do they work with its approval.
There are no "registered visa agents" for Germany.
The agency service may be expensive for you, but has no added value for your case and in no way binds the German Embassy in its decision-making process. To save money, time and stress, the German Embassy in Kathmandu strongly recommends that you book your appointment through the Embassy's website.
