BEWARE OF COMMERCIAL VISA AGENCIES AND AVOID BECOMING A VICTIM OF A VISA SCAM
The visa section does not work with private brokers or agencies. These individuals and organizations are NOT able to secure appointments with us. Application forms, checklists and appointments are provided free of charge. The Consulate General or the Embassy will never ask you to send payment in advance by check, money order, or wire transfer. Please fill out the application form yourself. If you need help, make sure the person helping you is entering your true information. Avoid visa consultants who offer to improve your chances by adding false information to your application. False information will disqualify you. Please avoid visa consultants who charge money because they claim they can improve your chances of being successful. We do NOT work with consultants and they CANNOT improve your chances of being selected. Please keep in mind: Official German government email addresses end in “.de” and any visa-related correspondence coming from an address that does not end with “.de” should be considered suspect. |
To book an register for a long term visa for AuPair or volunteer social year, you will need:
- personal data (including passport number)
- a valid email address that remains active up until and including the day of the appointment and which you personally can access
- Information about your planned purpose (AuPair or volunatry service)
1. Please enter all information exactly as shown in your passport and use the Latin alphabet.
2. Please schedule a separate appointment for each applicant.
3. You may book an appointment for only one reason for travel.
Please note that we don't accept applications that are booked in the wrong categorie.
The current wainting time for an appointment for AuPair visa is currently around one year, for volunteer year around one and a half years.
After your successful registration you will receive two emails:
1. Within 120 minutes a confirmation email with your reference number.
2. 3 weeks prior to your appointment to apply for a visa you will receive a e-mail with the exact date of your appointment.
Please cancel your registration if you no longer want to apply for the visa! You make room for someone else to actually apply.
Important notice! The following applies to all visa applications:
All boxes of the registration form have to be filled correctly. Appointment bookings with wrong or incorrect information will be cancelled.
The Consulate General does not offer appointments through agents, advisors or any other service provider. Do not waste your money and time with such intermediaries. We strongly recommend that you book your appointment yourself.
