The following applicants should submit their application via the consular portal - without exception: 

• Study purposes and seeking a university place
• Basic or advanced training and search for a training place
• Family Reunification* (NOT reunification with beneficiaries of subsidiary protection)
• Blue Card (EU) for professionals with a university degree
• Blue Card (EU) for skilled workers with a tertiary education qualification
• Blue Card (EU) for IT specialists
• Taking up employment as a highly skilled worker with university degree
• Taking up employment as a skilled worker with professional training
• Taking up employement with work experience
• Opportunity Card

 Specialty chefs should book their appointment in the category provided for this purpose.

Please enter all information about the applicant according to the information in the passport in Latin letters.

The email address to be entered must be valid. Because you will receive an email confirming your appointment.

Take a printout of this e-mail with you to the interview at the visa section, otherwise the appointment cannot be kept.

In the appointment overview you can book a free appointment of your choice (the next one or a later one if you wish): You choose a day and a Time window (e.g. 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.).

Please understand that appointments cannot be made earlier than those shown here (not even by email or fax). To avoid unnecessary waiting times for you and other visitors, please appear at the embassy punctually at the beginning of the time window (if you book an appointment between 9:00 and 9:30 a.m., at 9:00 a.m.) and report to the embassy entrance.

Important Notice!

• Booking multiple appointments for one person is not permitted. Please only reserve your appointment if you assume that you can actually attend it. If you still cannot appear on the booked date, please send an email to visa@manam.diplo.de requesting the cancellation. This will help the embassy plan appointments so that all applicants can be offered timely appointments.
• If it is determined that you have booked multiple appointments, all appointments will be canceled without notice.
