For your appointment, please bring with you the original document(s).

The fees are 30,- euros per document. The fees have to be paid either in cash in US-Dollars according to the Consulate's exchange rate or by credit card (Visa/Mastercard only).

You can also book an appointment in this category if you want to add documents to an ongoing citizenship application and were informed by the Consulate to book an appointment in this category. Please note that appointments in this category cannot be used to submit new applications.

The certification of copies for applications pursuant to Art. 116 (2) Basic Law and § 15 Nationality Act (Applications for restoration of German Citizenship for victims of Nazi persecution and their descendants) as well as applications pursuant to § 5 Nationality Act (Citizenship by declaration) are free of charge.

All other certifications of copies in citizenship matters (for example applications for a certificate of nationality) are subject to the regular fees.
