One appointment for the same type of applications per family is sufficient. If different applications are submitted, e.g. birth announcements and divorce recognition, please book two (consecutive, if necessary) appointments.

Please note that both spouses or custodial parents must be present for a marriage name declaration or child name declaration. If the child concerned is older than 13, he or she must also be present. Applicants who are 18 years or older submit their name declaration independently.

This appointment cannot be used to apply for a passport. Please book a separate appointment in the category "German Passports" or a combined appointment “first time passport applications or applications after name change” if a name declaration is required.
