Consular and passport matters only (strictly no visa appointment)

In order to apply for a new German passport or to request any other consular services (e.g. legalization, certification of copies, verification of a signature), you have to register for an electronic appointment using this system.

With the introduction of the appointment system, the Embassy ensures orderly public access and avoids long waiting times for its customers.

Within the available time slots, you are free to book any appointment suitable to you. Please read the information provided on the Embassy's website carefully before booking an appointment. Please bring all the necessary documents you might need for your appointment. Please only book one appointment and make sure to keep this appointment. Please consider that for each passport application, you need a separate appointment. Families with more than one passport application need an appointment for each applicant.

Should you not be able to keep the appointment, please cancel through the link provided in the appointment confirmation email. This way, you assist the Embassy with the time scheduling and it enable the Embassy to offer other applicants prompt appointments.

Appointments are provided free of charge.

We recommend NOT to use a gmail-address when booking the appointment as confirmation emails tend to be blocked by this provider.
