Please make an appointment in this category only if you... 

• wish to collect a certificate of naturalization once your application pursuing Art. 116 II GG or § 15 StaG has been approved and you are informed, that your certificate arrived at this Consulate General for hand out.

Families up to four persons only need to book one appointment.

Naturalization certificates for children under 16 years old can be handed out to BOTH parents only. The presence of childdren under 16 years old is NOT mandatory for picking up their certificates.

Please note: Appointments in this category should not be used to submit NEW applications, except handing in follow up applications for close relatives.

Upon arrival of your certificate at this Consulate General you will be informed and sent over a copy of the certificate to check for inaccuracies. Please check carefully! Faulty certificates are not handed out, but have to be sent back to Germany for issuing a new, correct certificate that can be handed out. PLEASE do NOT book an appointment before receiving this information by this Consulate General and having checked your copy to be correct. Certificates forwarded from other German representations to San Francisco take several weeks to arrive as they pass by Berlin first. Please await the confirmation by this Consulate General before booking an appointment for picking up!
