Acknowledgments of paternity and declarations of consent of a German deed, applications for subsequent registration of birth or marriage, applications for the issuance of a certificate of inheritance for German probate courts, affidavits from German citizens regarding marital status (upon request by German registry offices) must be reviewed and prepared prior to an appointment.

An appointment in these cases can only be scheduled once the relevant documents have been reviewed and the relevant application or deed been prepared by the Legal and Consular section of the Consulate General. Please send an e-mail with your request to konsulat@shan.diplo.de attaching copies of the necessary documents (as a pdf file, no larger than 4 MB) in accordance with our website.

After a preliminary review by the Legal and Consular section, you will receive a confirmation code from the Consulate General allowing you to schedule an appointment.
