For the following consular services please book an appointment here:

Family matters:

• registration of birth, marriage or death of a German citizen abroad in Germany
• application for a certificate of no impediment to marriage (without declaration in lieu of an oath!)

Name declarations:

• name of a child
• married name of spouses
• addition of a name to the married name
• name change after divorce

German citizenship:

• general citizenship information
• application to determine German citizenship
• application for naturalization
• application to renounce or waive German citizenship

Please book an appointment in this category only for those services mentioned above. For all other services not mentioned on this list please contact us.

Please book a seperate appointment for each application and service. (Exception: Name declarations for two or more minor children of the same parents can be done in one single appointment.)

If you were asked by a German authority to have a declaration in lieu of an oath notarized, please contact the Embassy directly by e-mail in order to set up a special appointment since notarizations require preparation.

If you are unable to keep an appointment you have booked please cancel this appointment immediately. Please be advised that this Embassy reserves the right to deny you further appointments if you do not show for an appointment without cancelling it.
