The following services can be provided during the consular week in Montreal

• Birth registration (incl. name declarations in the same form)  (please book 2 subsequent appointment slots!)
• Marriage registration 
• Name declaration
• Notarization of a declaration of consent of the child's mother to an acknowledgement of paternity if the child was born outside of a marriage and the child's mother is German (common-law relationships are not recognized as marriage in Germany)
• Signature certification
• Applications for naturalization if in-person application is mandatory (please book 2 subsequent appointment slots!)

The following services cannot (!) be provided during the consular week in Montreal

• Visa applications
• Applications for ID cards (Personalausweise)
• Consular certificates
• Pension affairs
• Sponsor letters
• General enquiries
• Document pick-up (except for naturalization certificates)

We kindly ask for your understanding that we want to reserve the limited number of application slots to persons whose mobility is impaired or for parents applying for passports for their children.

Kindly note that in case all appointments are booked, you are advised to check in the booking system for appointments available for re-booking due to cancellations. Kindly refrain from sending enquiries about being allocated an appointment.
