Certification of photocopies

Authentication of signature, e.g.:

• power of attorney

• authorizations

• declaration of renouncement of succession

• application for a Police Clearance Certificate

• other declarations that require the authentication of a signature

Consular Certificates, e.g.:

• Corpse/Urn Tranport Permit

• other Consular Certificates

To apply for a passport/ID, or to change it (e.g. address, PIN), please book an appointment in the passport section (link). 

Please note, that for a full notarization (e.g. applications for a certificate of inheritance) and a formal letter of financial support (Verpflichtungserklärung) you will have to contact the Consulate General in Toronto.

If you do not find your concern in the list above, please contact the Consulate General for assistance.

For life certificates for your German pension or to pick up your certificate for the retention of German citizenship you do not need an appointment , you can come by between 9 am and 12 pm (Monday to Friday) with your documents and a valid ID.
