Please schedule an appointment here ONLY if you would like to submit an application for naturalization AND you have close family members, such as your parents, siblings, or children, who have already successfully filed an application on the basis of Art. 116 para. 2 of the Basic Law or Section 15 of the Nationality Act AND received a reference number from the Federal Office of Administration (BVA).

To schedule an appointment under another category, please go back and select the appropriate category.

If you do not have the reference number of the family member who has already started a naturalization process, please schedule an appointment under the category “Citizenship – New Application”.

Please understand that, due to the high number of applications, we can only accept your application if you have scheduled an appointment under the correct category.

Members of the same family may submit their applications at the same appointment.

Please bring the originals of the following documents to your appointment:

• Application form (in case of minors, both parents must sign).
• Your current foreign passport or personal ID document (with passport photo and personal data); in case of minors, both parents must present these documents.
• Your birth certificate and certificate of descent
• Your marriage certificate (if you are married)
• A copy of your German certificate of naturalization or confirmation of receipt from the Federal Office of Administration (with reference number) for the family member that has already successfully filed an application for naturalization

Please bear in mind that, depending on the individual case, further documents might be requested for the application process.

Please familiarize yourself in advance with the process and the required documents on our website. Please bring the originals of the necessary documents and one set of copies along with the application form with you to the appointment.

Complete applications in citizenship matters can also be sent to the Embassy by postal mail. Please note that the aforementioned documents must be sent as certified copies when being sent by mail.
