To book an appointment, you will need:

• personal data (including passport number)
• a valid email address that remains active up until and including the day of the appointment and which you personally can access

Kindly note:

1. enter all information exactly as shown in your passport and use the Latin alphabet.
2. schedule a separate appointment for each applicant. (Example: 1 Person = 1 appointment / 3 persons = 3 appointments  / parents and 2 children = 4 appointments)
3. You may book an appointment for only one reason for travel.

• the Netherlands
• Switzerland

you can also contact the respective Embassy/Consulate General in South Africa in order to apply for a visa there.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

MAIN DESTINATION FRANCE:

As of 01.04.2025 the external service provider CAPAGO will collect visa applications for FRANCE. Those applications will be handled by the French Consulate General in Johannesburg. Please note that CAPAGO will charge a service fee as well as a courier fee for shipping the application and the passports to Johannesburg.

The appointments can be booked online on CAPAGO’s website (https://fr-na.capago.eu/). Their office is located at Regus Maerua Mall, 3^rd floor, Windhoek. More information can be obtained directly from CAPAGO, either by calling their call center in South Africa (+27 872 310 313) or by mail (infofrance-na@capago.eu). All information about visas for France can be found at https://france-visas.gouv.fr/en/.

MAIN DESTINATION AUSTRIA:

As of 07.02.2025 the external service provider VFS Windhoek will collect visa applications for travelers with destination AUSTRIA. The applications will be handled by Austrian Embassy Pretoria. Please take note that VFS will charge a facilitation and courier fee for shipping the application to Pretoria. A minimum facilitation period of 15 days does apply.
