Would you like to re-new your German passport or a German ID-Card? Please be advised about the following:

 

APPOINTMENT CAN BE BOOKED EIGHT WEEKS IN ADVANCE

We can only accept your application for a passport or ID-card if the application form is completely filled out and all relevant documents are presented to us. Incomplete applications cannot be accepted.

The processing time for passports and ID-cards is at present approx. 6-8 weeks. You have the option to apply for an express passport, which takes approx. 4 weeks. Each passport applicant must come to the embassy in person (including minors).

When scheduling an appointment we kindly ask you to:

- provide information according to details in your passport in latin letters in the online appointment application.

- provide your valid e-mail address in order to recieve the appointment confirmation. Print-out of this confirmation needs to be presented at the time of the appointment.

Please note that one appointment is possible for one person only. If you wish to apply for more than one person or for a passport as well as an ID-card you need to schedule a seperate appointment for each application.

 

We aim to reduce waiting times as much as possible. In case you are unable to keep an appointment please cancel this appointment before booking a new appointment.
