Welcome to the appointment system of the German Embassy in Baku!
To hand in your visa application directly at the German Embassy you need to book an appointment. Please only arrange an appointment if you are sure that you will be able to use it. Please inform yourself about the necessary documents for your visa application in advance. Fact sheets with detailed information can be found the Embassy’s homepage. Please also pay attention to the general information on national visa or Schengen visa provided there.
If you cannot use an appointment, you have the option to cancel it. Please make use of it so that others can use the appointment time.
In the next step please choose the visa category according to the purpose of your trip. You have the following options:
- national visa (stay of more than 90 days in Germany)
IMPORTANT INORMATION: All Schengen visa applications and national visa applications only for
- Specialist language examination (Fachsprachenprüfung) / specialist proficiency test (Kenntnisprüfung) in accordance with § 16d Absatz 5 AufenthG (Residence Act)
- Language course exceeding 3 months
- Internship

National visa applications for the following purposes:
- EU Blue Card
- Employment
- Studies, study applicants, and preparatory study language courses
- Opportunity Card (Chancenkarte)
- Vocational and further training
must be submitted exclusively online through the Auslandsportal of the Federal Foreign Office. In this process, the Embassy cooperates with the external service provider TLScontact. TLScontact checks your documents online for completeness. Once all documents are complete, you will receive an appointment at the nearest Visa Application Centre (VAC). Your fingerprints will be taken there and you will pay the visa fee on site. After that, your application will be forwarded to the Embassy for processing. The Embassy – not the external service provider – makes the decision on your visa application. You can track the status of your application at any time via the Auslandsportal.
Acceptance of national visa applications for:
- Au pair
- Family reunification
- Voluntary service
- hospitation for more than 3 months
- measures for the recognition of foreign professional qualifications
- ethnic Germans (Spätaussiedler)
- Jewish immigration
- Re-entry visa
- other purposes of stay not mentioned here with a duration of stay of more than 90 days
