Welcome to the online appointment system of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bangkok
In order to apply for a visa you need an appointment. Depending on the purpose of the trip and the length of stay you need to book the appointment either directly at the embassy’s visa section or at the visa application center VFS Global.
Appointments at the visa section:
- employment (including Au-Pair, freelance, vocational training, working holiday)
- German language course (longer than 90 day)
- employment with prior consent of German alien authority acc. to §81a AufenthG
(please book in respective category)
- Schengen visa applications (short term stay less than 90 days) – only for family members of foreigners who are EU/EEA citizens but not German citizens and who are entitled to free movement within the EU. Family members of German citizens apply with our service provider VFS Global.

Appointments through the visa application center of service partner VFS Global:
- all Schengen visa applications (including family members of German nationals) with main destination Germany
- visa for study or student exchange (length of stay above 90 days)
- marriage and subsequent residence in Germany
- family reunion (with partner, with minor child, with parent holding single guardianship)
- nursing staff in recognition / to participate in qualifying education according to certificate of recognition

The visa fee is payable while filing the application. Please note that an additional service fee has to be paid when filing an application through the visa application center VFS Global.

การนัดหมายเพื่อยื่นคำร้องขอวีซ่าที่สถานทูตโดยตรง สำหรับคำร้องดังต่อไปนี้
- วีซ่าทำงาน (รวมถึงผู้ทำงานโอ-แพร์ ผู้ทำงานอิสระ และการฝึกอาชีพ)
- วีซ่าเรียนภาษาเยอรมัน (ระยะเวลานานกว่า 90 วัน)

- วีซ่าเชงเก้น (สำหรับการพำนักไม่เกิน 90 วัน) – สำหรับสมาชิกในครอบครัวของผู้ถือสัญชาติในสังกัดประเทศสมาชิกสหภาพยุโรป (EU/EEA) ที่ไม่ใช่ผู้ถือสัญชาติเยอรมัน ซึ่งมีสิทธิ์ในการเดินทางอย่างเสรี เท่านั้น

การนัดหมายยื่นคำร้องขอวีซ่าที่ศูนย์บริการ VFS Global สำหรับคำร้องดังต่อไปนี้

- วีซ่าสำหรับผู้ประกอบวิชาชีพการพยาบาลที่ได้ใบรับรองคุณวุฒิวิชาชีพบางส่วน

Please book an appointment in this category, if you intend to get married in Thailand and require a consular certificate issued by the Embassy for marriage in Thailand.
Please only book the appointment after sending in all the required documents, including your certificate of no impediment to marriage (Ehefähigkeitszeugnis), via e-mail to konsularinfo@bangk.diplo.de and after receiving feedback from the Embassy regarding a pick up slot for the consular certificate for marriage.
Please make sure to enter correct and complete details.
Please also make sure to enter your correct email address as a confirmation will be send to the given address. You have to provide a print-out of this confirmation on the day of your appointment. Otherwise, access to the Embassy cannot be granted.
It will not be possible to correct your details or to change your email address after the registration is completed. You will have to cancel your appointment and book another one.
On the following page, you can choose any appointment that is available.

Please note that earlier appointments than the given ones via this booking system are not available and please refrain from inquiring for earlier appointments.

Please book an appointment in this category, if you require a certification of your signature by a German authority for a document you intend to use in Germany.
The Embassy cannot certify your signature on a document you intend to use outside of Germany.
Examples for possible certification of signatures:
- declaration of consent (Genehmigungserklärung)
- power of attorney (NOT POSSIBLE: power of attorney for preparations/ registering a marriage in Germany, please use the appointment category "marriage in Germany")
Please read carefully all the information provided by the Embassy concerning the certification of signatures and the required documents here (only available in German and Thai language).
You cannot apply for a German police clearance certificate/ certificate of good conduct (Führungszeugnis) in this appointment category, please book an appointment in the category “certified copies”.
For all commercial register matters please use the official portal of the Federal Chamber of Notaries for online notary appointments via https://online.notar.de/en/. The Embassy does not offer services related to commercial register matters.
Other consular services (such as certified copies or consular certificates) cannot be provided in this appointment category.

Please book an appointment in this category, if you intend to marry in Germany or to marry a German citizen and you require one of the following services:
- power of attorney for your fiancé to prepare all marriage related matters in Germany in your name
- registration of an intended marriage in Germany
- Recognition of a divorce filed abroad
Please bring the necessary documents/ filled in application forms with you to the appointment.
Forms are available at the German Registrar which is processing your marriage request.
