The German Embassy in Damascus being closed, Syrian nationals and Palestinians with Syrian travel documents as well as third party nationals living in Syria or applying for Family Reunion visa to a Syrian Refugee / Subsidiary Protected can make their appointments for a visa application at the German Embassy in Beirut (location: Rabieh) at this site. Please read the notices on the following pages carefully.

Caution: Many applicants informed us that several local „Visa Service Agencies“ claim to be able to organise an appointment for payment. However, these agencies only send falsified e-mail-confirmations of appointments, or demand horrendous prices of several hundreds of Euros for proper bookings. In the interest of all applicants these agencies should not be used. This Embassy does NOT work with private offices for arranging appointments, even if they claim it.
Attention: The embassy has to send the names and passport details of all applicants to the Lebanese border authorities until 3 pm of the previous day. Entering to Lebanon in order to apply for a visa is only possible if the name is on the list. We hereby inform you that we are unable to give you accurate details on where and how this data is being used. If you do not agree that your details are being sent, please use the cancellation link in the email with the appointment date. If you would like to keep the appointment and are able to enter Lebanon in another legal way, cancel the appointment and send us an email to visa@beir.auswaertiges-amt.de with the subject: STORNO CANCEL and your previour registration number. In that case you keep your appointment, but your details will not be shared with the Lebanese border authorities (and therefore not show up on the list). Please be informed that this needs to be done latest one week prior to the appointment.
If you currently live in Syria, on the seperate appointment waiting lists you can register for signature and copy certifications and / or the legalization of Syrian documents.
The appointments for signature and copy certifications only take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. at the German Embassy in Rabieh. A certification of a copy is NOT al legalization!
Please submit Syrian documents to be legalized only via VFS Global. The appointments for the legalization of Syrian documents take place Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. at VFS Global.
The registration of an appointment is free of charge!

يجب تسليم المستندات السورية المُراد تصديقها إلى شركة VFS Global في مقرها في بيروت حصراً. يتم تصديق هذه المستندات بموجب موعد من الإثنين إلى الجمعة بين الساعة الثامنة صباحاً والثانية من بعد الظهر في مقر شركةVFS Global في بيروت.
لا تستوفي السفارة أية رسوم عند حجز أي من هذه المواعيد على موقعها!
تنبيه: بحسب ما أفاد العديد من مقدمي الطلبات تقوم عدة "مكاتب خدمات" بحجز المواعيد لهم مقابل بدل مادي وتسليمهم تأكيدات مزورة عن حجز هذه المواعيد أو تقوم بطلب مبالغ مرتفعة (بالمئات من اليورو) لتأمين المواعيد "بشكل قانوني" لهم. توصي السفارة جميع مقدمي الطلبات بالإبتعاد عن مكاتب الخدمات هذه وتذكر بأنها، وعلى عكس ما تدّعي هذه المكاتب، لا تتعاون معها بأي شكل نهائياً.

If your actual and legal place of residence is in Lebanon and your like to apply for a visa for the purpose of work, job-seeking, research, qualification, vocational training or any other kind of work related visa to Germany, please enter your personal data in the appointment list below.
Applicants who have their lawful and actual residence in Syria will be given an appointment in our Visa section in Rabieh. If this applies to you, please click "return" on top of this text box and enter the appointment category for applicants living in Syria (please also do this if you are living in Lebanon without a Lebanese Iqama).
Applicants who reside elsewhere are kindly referred to the German Embassy or Consulate at their place of residence (e.g. applicants who live in France should apply for their visa through the German Embassy in Paris, applicants who live in Dubai should apply through the German Consulate General in Dubai, etc.). This also applies to Lebanese citiens permanently living abroad.
The embassy might ask you to prove your place of residence by handing in further documents (e.g. entry and exit registry issued by the Lebanese authorities).
Via this page, only persons who can prove that they are residing in Lebanon permanently may register for an appointment.
Applicants who do not hold Lebanese citizenship, can only book their appointments in this category, if they are holders of a Lebanese residence permit (Iqama) and actually reside in Lebanon permanently.
Lebanese citizens who permanently live outside Lebanon should book their appointment and apply for their visa through the German Mission (Embassy or Consulate) at their place of residence (i.e. if you reside in Dubai, please apply for our visa at the German Embassy in Dubai; if you reside in France, please apply for your visa at our Embassy in Paris; etc)

Registering for a visa appointment through our appointment system is free of charge.
Unfortunately we have detected a high number of double or multiple appointment bookings in recent weeks. Thus, starting on 01.01.2020 the Embassy will only allow persons to enter the visa section for their appointments if their personal data matches the data given in the appointment booking 100% (especially passport numbers and birth dates). There will be no exceptions. Therefore, please make sure to double check your data entries thoroughly bevor submitting your appointment request.
Submission of an application for a new German passport (biometric passport, temporary passport, children's passport), prolongation of children's passports, German ID card or changing the place of residence mentioned in the passport or ID card.
The so-called "Reiseausweise für Flüchtlinge" or "Reiseausweise für Ausländer" cannot be issued by the Embassy. Please contact the responsible alien authority in Germany and the visa section (through the contact form on our website)
