You will need to book an appointment online (please click below) in this category if you require one of the following services:
- legalization of Tanzanian certificates
- certification of a photocopy
- applying for a German certificate of good conduct
- applying for a German passport/a German ID card
- certified signature
To book the appointment you require:
- personal data (name, passport number, date of birth, telephone number)
- a valid email address

Only booking of appointments for a National Visa:
Do you intend to stay in Germany for more than 90 days in a period of 180 days?
In this case you need a residence permit in the form of a visa. Congratulations - you are in the right place and can proceed with booking your appointment via this system!
In the next step you will be given the opportunity to choose from the various visa categories and book an appointment.
Please note: Should you book the appointment in the wrong category, you will not be allowed to submit the application. Therefore, make sure to book your appointment in the visa category that applies to your case.
Please read the information provided on the Embassy's website carefully.
ATTENTION - You need to provide your complete passport number and complete details. Should you provide an incomplete passport number or incomplete details your appointment will be canceled automatically and you no longer have an existing appointment.
Please make sure that you bring all the required documents with you to the application. We do not recommend to come with incomplete applications as you will be asked to come again and have to book a new appointment or alternatively you insist of handing in an incommplete application which might lead to a refusal.
If you book an appointment in the wrong category, the Embassy reserves the right to cancel it.
SPECIAL CASE - SKILLED AND QUALIFIED EMPLOYEES:
In case you would like to apply for a EU-BlUE Card or as a qualified professional with either a recognized academic degree or recognized professional training you are kindly requested to hand in your visa application digitally only.

SPECIAL CASE - Au-Pair/BfD:
Please note that the appointment allocation for applying for a visa to stay as an Au pair or as part of the voluntary service (including BfD) will be changed from 15 February 2024 due to high demand.
You can no longer book an appointment directly, but register on a waiting list according to the steps which will follow.
The Embassy will then allocate appointments in chronological order of registrations based on its available capacity. You must expect a waiting time of several months.
Please refrain from enquiring about the status of your application or your position in the ranking list - these will not be answered. Please only enter your name on the waiting list if you have already signed a contract with a host family in Germany or a contract with your organisation. This information is mandatory in the next steps. Appointments for people who do not provide the relevant information (or provide incomplete information) will NOT be allocated.
