Welcome to the online visa appointment system of the German Embassy Kampala!
In order to apply for a visa for Germany you need to arrange an appointment. Before booking this appointment we kindly ask you to carefully study the information regarding visa procedures provided on our website: www.kampala.diplo.de
Please note that the process of accepting applications for Schengen visas (short-term stays up to a maximum duration of 90 days, category C) has been outsourced to an external service provider (TLScontact). For more information on how this affects the application procedure, please see our website
Please book a separate appointment for each applicant (also children) - if not indicated differently in the category!
PLEASE NOTE: We have separate categories (e.g. family reunion with a refugee). Make sure to choose the right category! The German Embassy reserves the right to cancel appointments when booked in the wrong category without further notice or to reject visa applications.
Appointments are available max. 8 weeks in advance. New time slots are released on a daily basis.
You can choose an available appointment in our schedule provided. Please select a day and a time slot. There are no other appointments available than provided by this system (please do not call, email or fax to make an appointment). You have to appear on time for the set appointment. If you are running late or do not bring all required documents you have to arrange for a new appointment online. Please take a copy of your confirmation email to your appointment.
Booking an appointment through our online system is free of charge! It is also possible to have a person of trust booking an appointment for you.
If you are unable to keep the appointment, please cancel it by using the cancellation link or by sending the confirmation email which you will receive after the booking process together with a copy of your passport with a request to cancel to visa@kamp.diplo.de.
This will help the Embassy to offer applicants the earliest appointment possible. It will also enable you to book a new appointment online, once the cancellation has been processed.
On the day of your appointment you have to appear at the Embassy in person.

Since 1 August 2018, close family members (spouses, unmarried minor children and parents of minor children) of a person eligible for subsidiary protection in Germany will be able to apply for a visa for the purpose of family reunion. Applicants who have registered here for an appointment for a family reunification visa to a subsidiary protection holder in Germany will be contacted by IOM – the UN Migration Agency in the framework of the Family Assistance Programme (FAP).
