Dear Sir or Madam,
the embassy is closed until further notice. Currently no appointments can be booked.
Due to the closure of the German Embassy in Khartoum, it is currently not possible to make visa applications at that Embassy.
Applicants who reside in Sudan can apply for Schengen visa at the German Embassy in Cairo until further notice. Should you be at another place with a German visa section, on an exceptional basis it might be possible to apply there. National visa (for duration of stay of more than 90 days such as employment, studies etc) can be applied for at the German Embassy in Cairo until further notice. Information in regards to appointment bookings for national visa in Cairo can be found in Arabic here
Applications for family reunion to people with a protection status (for example registered refugees or people with a status of subsidiary protection) will be processed at the German Embassy in Nairobi until further notice. These applications will be made at IOM-FAP Nairobi and then processed at the Embassy Nairobi. Registrations for application appointments done through the website of the German Embassy in Khartoum will remain valid. It is possible to enter new registrations through here. People registered will subsequently be contacted by IOM-FAP Nairobi.
The legal requirements for a visa application and the rules and regulations that govern the process have not changed.
