Welcome to the online appointment system for short-term visa of the German Consulate General in Lagos

In the following you can register for a short-term visa (max. 90 days). If you are in need of a national visa please scroll down.

Please note that the German Consulate is does not collaborate with any agents, agencies, or intermediaries for the booking of appointments. The registration for a short-term-visa-appointment is free of charge.

To register for an appointment, you will need:

• personal data (including passport number)
• a valid email address that remains active up until and including the day of the appointment and which you personally can access

The registration for an appointment will only take a few minutes.

1. Please enter all information exactly as shown in your passport and use the Latin alphabet.
2. Please register each applicant individually.
3. You may book an appointment for only one reason for travel.

Kindly take your time to read the information carefully.

• Each applicant including minor children must have a separate registration.
  
  
• To register for an appointment can be done fast and conveniently by yourself. This service is offered free of any charge. If desired, an appointment can also be registered by a trusted third party (e.g. the person inviting you or your business partner in Germany etc.).
  
  
• In order to avoid any malpractice only one registration can be booked per person. A new registration can only be allocated after a period of one month.
  
  
• Please make your registration well in advance. The waiting time for an appointment can take up to several month.
  
  
• Visa applications should be handed in at least 15 days ahead of your desired travel time. It is possible to apply for your Schengen visa up to 6 months in advance of your journey.
  
  
• The processing time for short-term visa applications will usually take about 15 days after handing in the application.

• You cannot use your appointment for a different visa category.
  
  
• On the day of your appointment, the application can generally only be submitted in person.

In the following step, please select carefully the category of the visa you wish to apply for as your appointment.
Applicants with bookings in the wrong category will not be accepted. You can select between:

1. Business Visa / trade fair
2. Visitor Visa
3. Visa for medical treatment
4. Tourism Visa
5. All other (Cultural purposes and Artist Visa // Visa for Internship/Training/Language Course // Sports Visa)

The Consulate General does not collaborate with any agents, agencies, or intermediaries for the booking of appointments. The registration for a national-visa-appointment is free of charge.

To register for an appointment, you will need your personal details (including your passport number) and a valid email address that you can personally access and that will remain active until the day of your appointment.

Please enter all information exactly as it appears in your passport, using the Latin alphabet.
Please register each applicant individually.

You can only register for an appointment for ONE travel purpose PER registration.

The registration for an appointment will only take a few minutes.
However, please read all instructions carefully:

• A separate registration is required for each applicant, including minor children (that is children less than 18 years)

• We strongly advise you to use your own personal e-mail address

• To register for an appointment can be done fast and conveniently by yourself. This service is offered free of any charge. If desired, an appointment can also be registered by a trusted third party

• In order to avoid any malpractice only one registration can be booked per person. A new registration can only be allocated after a period of one month

• Please select the required visa category on the next page

• You are not allowed to use your appointment to apply for a visa category different from the one you originally selected

• In the next step, please ensure you carefully select the correct visa category you intend to apply for

• On the day of your appointment, your application must generally be submitted in person

The waiting time for an appointment can take up to several month.

Applicants who book appointments under the wrong visa category will not be attended to and must re-register.

1. Family reunion
2. Work permit (certain categories), vocational training, internship, re-entry, other
3. AuPair or volunteer social year
4. Skilled workers with approval in advance according to § 81a German residence act

This category is for consular services only! NO VISA APPLICANTS! Visa applicants will be turned away at the Embassy gate and will have to book a correct appointment online at the visa section.

• Each applicant must have a separate booking.
• Booked appointments in the wrong category cannot be met.

• In order to avoid any malpractice only one      appointment can be booked per person. A new booking can only be  allocated after a period of one month. In case you do not show up on the day of your appointment the Consulate General has the right to bar further bookings for a period of up to 3 months.

• In case of incomplete documents you may be rejected on the day of your appointment. You are therefore asked to consider the website of the Consulate General as well as the information sheets to be found on it beforehand and contact the Consulate General via e-mail (info@lago.diplo.de) in case of questions.
• If you require assistance in a matter which is not listed on the following appointment pages, kindly get in touch with the Legal and Consular Section via e-mail (info@lago.diplo.de) in order to arrange an appointment.
