ATTENTION!

The receipt of national visa applications in the categories of vocational training (Section 16a of the German Residence Act), studies (Section 16b of the German Residence Act), measures regarding the recognition of foreign professional qualifications (Section 16d of the German Residence Act) and research and science (Section 18d and 19c (in accordance with Section 5 of the Ordinance on the Employment of Foreigners) of the German Residence Act) will be outsourced to the external service provider TLScontact from 03.06.2024. New registrations for appointments in the categories mentioned above on the appointment waiting list of the German Embassy Nairobi are therefore no longer possible. Applicants who have already registered will still be allocated an appointment to submit their visa applications at the Embassy.

TLScontact will promptly inform on its website how appointments for the submission of national visa applications in the listed categories can be booked. If you urgently need an appointment at the Embassy before 03.06.2024, please send an e-mail stating the reasons to the following address: visainfo@nair.diplo.de. The Embassy will then check whether it is possible to arrange a special appointment.

NOT THE CORRECT CATEGORY FOR STAYS OF LESS THAN 90 DAYS ( = SCHENGENVISA)!

Appointments booked in the wrong category or with incomplete or incorrect data will be canceled.

The German Embassy Nairobi introduced two convenient appointment waiting lists where you can register for an appointment to apply for a national visa. On the first waiting list you can register for an appointment for all national visas except in the categories of vocational training (Section 16a of the German Residence Act), studies (Section 16b of the German Residence Act), measures regarding the recognition of foreign professional qualifications (Section 16d of the German Residence Act), research and science (Section 18d and 19c (in accordance with Section 5 of the Ordinance on the Employment of Foreigners) of the German Residence Act) and the family reunification to persons entitled to protection. On the second waiting list you can register for an appointment to apply for the family reunification to recognized refugees or asylum seekers.
