In order to apply for a new German passport or any other consular services (e.g. legalization, certification of copies, verification of a signature), you have to register for an appointment using this system. Appointments for notarizations (Beurkundungen e.g. acknowledgement of paternity) must be arranged separately.
German national visa (type D)
To apply for a German national visa (long term/stay longer than 90 days), you have to register for an appointment using this system.
Visa for Germany and the Schengen states
To apply for a visa for Germany and the Schengen states (for stays up to 90 days), you have to register for an appointment using this system.
