Appointment-System of the German Foreign Office — Stockholm

Appointments are generally released six weeks in advance. If no free date is visible to you, this means that the dates are fully booked. Canceled appointments may be released at short notice, so it is worth checking the appointment system regularly. In this category there are appointments from Monday to Friday.

After making an appointment in the appointment system, please send your application documents by post latest by the date you have booked. This is not an appointment for a personal interview.

You will receive a booking confirmation, which you must print out and fill out with your documents. Your application cannot be processed without the attached printout of the confirmation email.

Applications are generally processed according to the booked date. If your case is particularly urgent (e.g. the death of a close relative or similar), please make a clear note of this and enclose the relevant receipts.

Please only book the appointment if you are sure that you can send in all the documents by the deadline.

Only one registration may be made per person and ID document. If there are several family members, a registration must be made in the name of each family member.

Processing can take several days. We therefore ask you to refrain from inquiries about the status of your application. As soon as your application has been processed, the embassy will contact you to arrange an appointment for the personal interview.

Depending on seasonally high demand, it may happen that appointments are already fully booked or have to be booked longer in advance. You can book an appointment here quickly and easily yourself. Booking an appointment is free of charge. If you wish, someone you trust can book for you. However, you must come to the Stockholm Embassy in person for the booked appointment.

Visa applicants with reference to § 26 BeschV must apply in their country of origin (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro & Serbia). Your visa application will not be accepted.
